Hold the moon lamp with both your hands and position it about 6 inches above its central unit. Slowly lower the lamp until it reaches its central position in the electromagnetic field, then release it to float on its own.

4. As you raise the unit slowly, align the magnetized bottom of the lamp gently with the base unit. Keep the magnet level and centered as you raise the unit slowly. As soon as your lamp reaches the magnetic “sweet spot” above your base unit, it should start to levitate.
5. Release the lamp gently and watch it continue to spin and levitate in its magnetic field. 6. You can adjust the brightness of your light once it is suspended by lightly touching the power mark located above its base.

Try adjusting the position of the lamp relative to its base unit. Also, make sure that it’s not too close to anything that could interfere with its magnetic field. Don’t be discouraged if you have to try several times to get the lamp to float.
